Another great tip is - when you use a coupon - whatever amount you saved using that coupon should be thrown into the change jar. Another cool idea, is to cover the outside of the change jar - decorate it with fabric or paper and then you can't see how much you have until you go to put that last little bit of change and it won't fit. Then you know it's time to get a bigger jar or take it somewhere. I do recommend CoinStar for the convenience HOWEVER if you can do it yourself you SAVE more money. It helps, but can also complicate matters when both parties are entering thier second marriage. You both have emotional baggage, which can help you better understand your partner, but then it can also further complicate things by both parties having higher expectations as far as that understanding and compassion go. Regardless, commitment and communication - the two C's - are the most important aspect.
