Great article Heather! It definitely helps to see it in writing, even though we all know that there definitely is a right and wrong way to argue. Thanks!

The Change Jar - Blog Entry

31 Mar 2006 12:55 PM

Marily, I do this too and it's an excellent way to "save". Another great tip is - when you use a coupon - whatever amount you saved using that coupon should be thrown into the change jar. Another cool idea, is to cover the outside of the change jar - decorate it with fabric or paper and then you can't see how much you have until you go to put that last little bit of change and it won't fit. Then you know it's time to get a bigger jar or take it somewhere. I do recommend CoinStar for the convenience HOWEVER if you can do it yourself you SAVE more money.

Making Lists - Blog Entry

29 Mar 2006 12:13 PM

Absolutely Marily! The queen of lists here, I make them constantly. And you know, sometimes they help and sometimes they don't. But more often than not, when I have it written down, it definitely stays in the memory longer. I think lists are almost a must have for a more organized life and especially a more frugal life!

This is wonderful news! I agree with your comment "Freedom of Religion does not mean Freedom from Religion". I think it's wonderful that they are allowing it as an elective.

The Second Marriage - Blog Entry

28 Mar 2006 01:31 PM

Wonderful article Heather. Important information provided for that second marriage. It helps, but can also complicate matters when both parties are entering thier second marriage. You both have emotional baggage, which can help you better understand your partner, but then it can also further complicate things by both parties having higher expectations as far as that understanding and compassion go. Regardless, commitment and communication - the two C's - are the most important aspect. Thanks for sharing Heather!
