I really think people need to remember that the stories are simply that - stories. Harry Potter is just the imagination of an author. I think it's great that teacher's are using that to their advantage. There are also other teaching resources out there (teacher's books, etc.) that can be found at Teacher stores, that have other ways to use Harry Potter in the classroom. At least there are teacher's out there trying to make teaching fun. Tips for Surviving Divorce with Children10 Jul 2007 09:37 AM I don't have much to add to that, except that I can completely relate and agree. I don't exactly consider any of my sacrifices made for my children - as suffering, because if they make their life better - I am not suffering. I do however believe that everything we do should be done with the children's interest and well being in mind. There is so much more to discuss, and hopefully our Single Parenting bloggers will tackle it! :) Deliciously Refreshing Watermelon Cake14 Jun 2007 11:37 AM Valorie, this sounds really interesting. And yes, taking a good camera to the beach can be such a horrible idea. Sand, water....you name it. I just learned that unless there is a way to keep the camera away from the elements, get a disposable! Tolerating a Teen's Redecorating13 Jun 2007 05:31 AM LOL Kory, Is that what I have to look forward to? I get it times two at one time - and then another follows two years later with two more following each year after that. It's going to be a long and bumpy ride! :D Organizing Your Kits From Scrapbooking Clubs (2)13 Jun 2007 05:21 AM I sure hope the organzing articles will help! Thanks for visiting me here too! Friday Funnies: Hiding Your Scrapbook Purchases12 Jun 2007 10:44 AM I have to agree. Except, seriously - I am lucky. My significant other funds my extra scrapbooking purchases, in addition to my own purchases. He hops right in and helps to find the perfect papers, embellishments and supplies to go with certain pictures. I know not everyone is that lucky, but these stories sure made me laugh. Do You Want To See The Pictures?08 Jun 2007 01:25 PM This is terribly sad. I'm just sitting here shaking my head. Thanks for letting us know about this Michele, because knowing me, I'd have probably watched the documentary and been in for a rude awakening. I have absolutely NO interest in seeing those photographs. For goodness sake, can't they just let the woman rest in peace, and let her family be? Garage Sales: Frugal Ways to Clean Up Your Stuff01 May 2007 09:00 AM No way! I totally won't either. In fact, I think some people would be rather surprised, by how many people actually put items out that are trashed or dirty. It's nasty, and there is no reason to stick around at that point. Budget Friendly Innovative Scrapbook Supply Storage01 May 2007 08:55 AM Pam, they are great for everything! You can certainly use them in more locations than just a craft/scrapbook room! We've used several all over our home for various items. They are great when you have five kids, as toothbrush holders and bathroom supply corrals!
