Memorabilia: What to Collect

31 Mar 2006 07:48 PM

Thank you for your comments. Yes, I have some other articles coming on organizing the memorabilia, etc. There are lots of ideas to be had for storing and still enjoying the items we collect. Personally I think your binder could be turned into a scrapbook album and still be nice and enjoyed. I will think on this and write up something. Thanks! :)

Recipes For Great Journaling

Thanks for your sweet comment. Yes, as a parent with children of any age, there is always an invisible person named "not me" that lives within your family home. Filing a report is a cute way to record that disaster and add humor to it. Good luck! (oh and you're quite welcome!)

Great article Heather! It definitely helps to see it in writing, even though we all know that there definitely is a right and wrong way to argue. Thanks!

The Change Jar

31 Mar 2006 12:55 PM

Marily, I do this too and it's an excellent way to "save". Another great tip is - when you use a coupon - whatever amount you saved using that coupon should be thrown into the change jar. Another cool idea, is to cover the outside of the change jar - decorate it with fabric or paper and then you can't see how much you have until you go to put that last little bit of change and it won't fit. Then you know it's time to get a bigger jar or take it somewhere. I do recommend CoinStar for the convenience HOWEVER if you can do it yourself you SAVE more money.

Making Lists

29 Mar 2006 12:13 PM

Absolutely Marily! The queen of lists here, I make them constantly. And you know, sometimes they help and sometimes they don't. But more often than not, when I have it written down, it definitely stays in the memory longer. I think lists are almost a must have for a more organized life and especially a more frugal life!
