What on Earth do I do with Chard?

25 Jul 2007 09:47 PM

LOL Valorie, what an interesting thing to bring home to mom. I hope it tastes good, I had never heard of it either. I wonder what it's supposed to taste like. Surely not chicken like everything else ;)

False Supporters

25 Jul 2007 11:59 AM

I was so there during my homeschooling days. In fact, I think a lot like Valorie, they seemed to shout it at the rooftops - no whispering most of the time. But I did know I had "friends" who I know were waiting for it not to work, who were secretly celebrating when my son returned to school (our choice), however supportive she seemed along the way.

New Uses for Straws

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the advice for the flower stems. It was such a miracle save for me. Just make sure you get the straws to poke into the ground so there is a little bit more support. Thanks for reading my blog everyday! It's nice to know I am helping others!

Taking a Crabby Day Out on Your Kids

20 Jul 2007 07:50 AM

I can totally relate Kory. I do sometimes think single parents tend to stress because we have different responsibilities than a two parent household, however, I am now in a two parent household and I still find myself having crabby days and with five kids underfoot most of the time, I know I've been known to snap occasionally. Thanks for the positive article putting it into focus :)

Julie we actually went to the store last night to see what else was there. We picked up two pairs for each kid but one, who we need to order for online (her feet were too small). Mostly we got them in Khaki, Black, Brown and Navy and one of my kids picked that turkish blue color. I love them!!! I wore my pair to the park tonight and not only were they comfy, they worked well in the mud - wash and they were like new. LOL thanks for the great info!!

Bonding With Your Girls

17 Jul 2007 09:46 AM

Kevin this is an EXCELLENT article. I showed it to my girls' father and he thought it was very cool. The good news is, he already tries to do this occasionally. What wonderful ideas! How come we are still have sparkingling pink and purple glittery fairy on unicorn conversations with our 8 and 9 year old and you get to discuss friends and camp? What? You said "every child is different"? Ah....an important fact to remember! :D Great, great article!

Great Deal at Borders Bookstores!

17 Jul 2007 08:31 AM

Mary ann! Thanks! and Julie thanks! I saw a couple of carts the other day and didn't stop, because really even 50% off their regular prices is steep. So now that I know its bargain books, I'm off to Borders today to soak up some savings. I'll probably only limit myself to five too - I think we are a lot alike. My bookshelves (8 of them) are over flowing with books and then of course, sadly i will admit we have BOXES full that are packed up. I'm not one of those people that keeps everything, but books are wonderful! :) Thanks again!
