Middle Grade Children's Writer--Anjali Banerjee

I attended the PNWA conference this past weekend. So by Saturday, I was worn down, looking for a place to hide until I had to slip out to my editor appointment and chose a room at random. There I met writer Anjali Banerjee and listened to her overview of how to write for middle grade children. I most noticed that her books look to be delightful with lots of multi-cultural aspects--setting, character, pictures etc. Her books deal with a variety of issues, like feeling like you live in two societies at the same time, and wanting to wish your life perfect only to have things go wrong. Her latest is \\\"Imaginary Me\\\" -- if you can\\\'t find Mr. Right, you can always make him up. I haven\\\'t read any of her books except where she showed excerpts (dad picking his nose for instance) and they seem to be something my niece at 10 would enjoy. Parents might take a look and be well happy.
