Surviving the Storm

Seattle had one windy storm last week. We still have the 80' tree resting on our deck after falling onto our roof and rolling off. Lucky for us, it caused minimal damage. No so in many places in Puget Sound. Our dentist told us he wasn't likely to get his power back on until next week. All the power poles went down in West Seattle and they were replacing them for a 1000 users at a time. Awful! The height of the storm had some spectacular electrical effects--big balls of cracking blue fire that light the entire horizon again and again. Seriously cool. Of course, you had to have a tree fall on your roof to be awake at 1pm when it was going through.
