06 Dec 2006 11:07 PM The Christmas SeasonMy dad always used to say "Peace and Quiet" any time we asked him what he wanted for Christmas. Or told us about being a hermit in the woods and allowing his hair and beard grow clear to his waist. We never believed him, pulling on his hands, sitting on his lap, laughing and playing. Yet, in the tradition of Silent Night and the dark starting so early and lasting so long, I can't help but think Peace in our world would be so wonderful. But I'll accept quiet, the long night, the dark descending like a cold breath, stars hungry. And be satisfied the year has ended. No comments on this article yet. Be the first to comment!
