If you're not sure what to listen too or are overwhelmed with the choices start talking to some friends. Odds are someone will have some favs. "Fly With Me" is one my husband and I both really enjoy. It is about an airline pilot and he takes his recorder and records stories and talks about what it is like flying. He even did a special podcast when the Jet Blue incident happened. It was really really interesting to hear the perspective of the pilots. Anyway, there is something out there for everybody! PS. Yes, I am an apple computer owner Podcasting - Using iTunes to find and listen - Blog Entry01 Apr 2006 01:23 AM It's amazing how many people listen to podcasts. Eating-for-Life (on the Body-for-Life Program) - Blog Entry01 Apr 2006 01:17 AM I actually have looked into body for life before and it seemed to me that there wasn't a lot of room for fruits in this diet. Was I wrong? I love the idea of the six meals a day and the way they outline the exercise program...but I have to say I have lost the most weight when I have counted my calories using a free online service called fitday.com. I'd love to hear your comments! Just Who is Candace E. Salima? - Blog Entry01 Apr 2006 01:13 AM I'm sure you hear this all the time, but I would like to be a published author someday (I do consider myself to be a writer) and I always love to hear about other authors. I really like your approach to the decision that led you to writing for a smaller market. It is true that getting published for certain genres make it nearly impossible to keep some things out of those books-like sex. Thanks for you willingness to share your life with us! My Top Ten Book List - For Now - Blog Entry01 Apr 2006 01:06 AM I try and keep a list going that I add to. I started this on my mission when I did service at a library. Which was really bad in some ways because I'm addicted to reading! However, because I loved reading so much we were actually able to teach one of the persons who worked at the library--he didn't join the church, but he was an incredible person. So I felt validated!! ;) I'm going to have to check some of these out. I have to admit that I read very little religious fiction, and I'm not a huge fan of non-fiction although I do read non-fiction once in a while. I need to broaden my horizons! Thanks for the list Candace! LDS Families: A Decaying Zion - Blog Entry01 Apr 2006 01:02 AM Wow. It always amazes me when I hear stories like this. Whoever feels that way kind of missed the whole point of our religion, wouldn't you say? I mean we obviously don't always uphold our religion because none of us are perfect, but to actually say that it was okay that I did something like that, just...I'm dumbfounded. Surviving Frogs, Mud-Covered Sons, Lipstick Enhanced Daughters and Sweat-Covered Husbands! - Blog Entry01 Apr 2006 01:00 AM I loved this! I have two nieces and a nephew and believe me I have done some things that I have not wanted to (that most definitely includes bugs and things like that) for them! And I can't agree more--just because you're at home doesn't mean you're not doing anything (although in my case that is on occasion true!). I'm currently "training" my husband. He thinks that technically since I'm home more, I should do more housework. I'm trying to convince him if we just pick up after ourselves, spend twenty minutes a day at the most plus a couple of hours when we have time off together then the house would be in perfect shape most of the time! |
