I'm going to post in the weight loss forum. I can't wait to share my good news. I don't weigh daily because that will make me nutty, but I hop on once or twice a week. The biggest thing, for me, is keeping the scale in sight. Since I've done this, I've been able to turn down loaded bagels from Panera Bread and skip the soda/ hotdog combo at Sam's Club. I'm so happy, I feel like I'm floating. Momma's on a Diet: Who am I and Why am I Here? - Blog Entry01 Feb 2007 06:48 PM Katie-Anne, I'm glad that you're going to be blogging. You're right about accountability helping to get you motivated. I found that out quick. I wake up wondering what more I can do to lose weight. It's one of the reasons I read so much. Diet Hype: Looking For the Next Fad - Blog Entry01 Feb 2007 06:22 PM I'm a magazine junkie. I lost track of how many subscriptions I have. I get Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Ladie's Home Journal...you know, I'm really going to have to count my subscriptions (lol) And, I agree with you. They always have the fads right on the front cover, in bold type. I wish I could find more magazines like Figure. Diary of an Overweight Mom-Blonde Ambitions - Blog Entry25 Jan 2007 02:41 PM I don't mind the laughs. I thought it was funny, after I got over the shock. My family teased me, unmercifully. I just chalk it up to experience and I stay away from the dye bottles:) Diary of an Overweight Mom-Blonde Ambitions - Blog Entry25 Jan 2007 02:34 PM OOO, I have a horror story to tell. My hair was really short, shorter than this picture. I wanted blond hair, so I did it myself. At first, it came out mousy brown. I wasn't satisfied, so I dyed it again. It turned brassy gold on the sides, bright orange on the top, and didn't take in the back. I looked like Dennis Rodman, back in the day. I had to wear a wig for a while because I over-processed my hair. Cathy, I hope you have success. Eating Healthy on the Run - Blog Entry25 Jan 2007 12:32 PM LOL, I like oatmeal and sunflower seeds. Sounds like trail mix to me. By the way, do you have any recipes for homemade trail mix, one that's good for you? I need an energy boost first thing in the morning and I'm looking for something that I can eat on the run. I hate to skip breakfast, but sometimes it can't be helped. Diet Sabotage - Blog Entry25 Jan 2007 12:28 PM I have a long road to travel, too. I'm trying not to fall into too many potholes. A Diet Without Restrictions? - Blog Entry25 Jan 2007 12:27 PM Ladies, I hear what you're saying. The thing about dieting is that we all have to find out what will work for us...individually. The support helps, while you experiment. That's what I like about this website. Thanks for the cheers! |
