Mondays are the same way for me. Mostly, it's because when my husband is off work for the weekend I'd rather we all spent time time enjoying each other's company, and I don't get as much cleaning done. I usually have a lot of catching up to do by Monday. Frugal Ways To Get Rid Of Stubborn Stains and Spills - Blog Entry20 Jul 2006 01:58 PM Actually, you can use HAIRSPRAY to get permanent marker stains out of fabric. Spray the hairspray on the stain and wipe with a Q-tip until you have rubbed the marker out. Then, wash as normal. Make sure to check if the stain has completely gotten out before drying. If not, try it again. I used hairspray once to get marker off of my couch: http://frugal.families.com/blog/the-3-cent-stain-remover. This trick also works to get pen marks out of fabric. Oh, the Many Uses of Vinegar - Blog Entry12 Jun 2006 01:40 PM Great tip! I'll try that--we have hard water and my dishes never are crystal clear. Friday Baby Laughs: The Spoon Wars - Blog Entry30 May 2006 10:27 PM I use to have to give my son two spoons, one for each hand while I fed him with a third one. I made sure though that he didn't get to dip his spoons in the food. Friday Baby Laughs - Poop in the Tub - Blog Entry30 May 2006 10:22 PM Very funny! Our two year old has only done this once and now we know to watch out. I have no idea how it got cleaned up because I did "the grab your baby out of the tub as quickly as possible while you give your husband the task of cleaning up." Prepaid Electricity - Blog Entry26 May 2006 01:17 PM I asked your question to an SRP employee. She replied, "SRP customers are charged $0.08 per kilowatt-hour on the M-Power Program. This rate remains constant all year round. On our basic rate plan, the rates vary from winter to summer months. During the summer the basic rate is $0.09 per kilowatt-hour. In the winter, the rate drops to $0.07 per kilowatt-hour. Over a 12 month period of time, the average cost is approximately the same for both price plans. In fact, many of our customers who participate in the M-Power program save money because they are more conscious of their electric usage." Choosing a Car Seat - Blog Entry26 May 2006 10:47 AM Infant seats are nice because you can tote the baby around in them--pretty important if the baby has fallen asleep. Another thing to keep in mind is that if you are planning on having other children soon, convertible car seats are not quite as necessary, since you'd need an infant seat and a toddler seat at the same time. "A House of God" - Blog Entry11 May 2006 03:19 PM We had a similar stake conference in Arizona a few months ago. The speakers included Elder Monson and Elder and Sister Bednar. It was a neat and very different stake conference. "If Only We Had Known..." Couples Sue over Wrongful Life - Blog Entry10 May 2006 01:03 PM THanks for your article, Kristyn. It is obvious that these parents either would have aborted the fetus if they know of a problem, or else they are suing just to make some money. Either way, what a horrible situation to put your child in. When she gets old enough, will she eventually find out her parents never wanted her? People will sue for everything nowadays. How sad. |
