Guns or No Guns?

People in NYC are generally scared to death about guns.  They won't even hold one.  I was raised in NM and TX and guns were all over the place, including in racks hung in the back window of pickups.  The guy down the street had a collection and we thought nothing of it. We were taught gun safety and shot only when supervised.

Toes going numb when running

Someone has the same problem as me!! I don't know whether to feel happy or sad. I bought some good running shoes in a pro shop, so they fit right and are the right size.

Anything interesting around Sacramento?

The California State Indian Museum was fascinating to me, partly because of the display of Ishi's handiwork, super fine arrowheads, etc. Read the book "Ishi: Last of His Tribe"...

How do you organize all your gear?

Where are your tents, sleeping bags, and food? I use two tubs myself, and they are packed and ready to go all the time -- but I do check them before I leave.
