We have it on a stand where the tank is too high for her to reach, but she can see it from her crib or when we hold her. We are always careful and wash our hands after touching it. I think that as long as you are careful, it can be a good learning experience for a child. A few years ago, I actually met some girls who went to Columbine and were there when it happened. I also met a girl from Paducah, KY whose sister was killed in the Heath High School shooting. We were doing an anti-violence bike ride from Hampton, VA to Washington, D.C. Anyway, it scares me to think of sending my daughter to school when she's old enough. You just never know...
