They will even go so far as to scratch at the frame around the box and then they get out and scratch on anything else they can find for the next ten minutes. When Diaper Rash Won't Go Away - Blog Entry24 Apr 2006 12:45 PM Another thing to make sure that your child's doctor looks for is rectal strep. My daughter had what we thought was a horrible diaper rash for almost a week and when we took her back to the diaper, they tested her for rectal strep and it was positive. She has only had it one other time since then. Our pediatrician also recommended Boudreaux's Butt Paste (Wal-Mart, Target, Babies-R-Us) instead of the traditional diaper creams to prevent diaper rash because it forms a thick barrier between baby's bottom and whatever ends up sitting in the diaper. Let me tell you about the oven I have in my apartment -- when we first moved in (after being told we had a brand new range), I went to use the oven and discovered that the dial's numbers were rubbed off! Now we have a replacement dial that does not match the others. PLUS, I can't use my large skillet on the store because it tilts.
