Will Our Schools Ever be Safe? - Blog Entry

28 Sep 2006 07:50 PM

I couldn't believe all of this again. When Columbine happened, I was in my second semester in college. There was a girl in one of my classes who had graduated from Columbine the year before, but her sister was still attending the school. Fortunately, she was safe. A couple of years later, I was helping with a bike ride against violence from Hampton, VA to Washington, D.C. I met some girls who went to Columbine and they were still so affected by it. I am scared for my child and any future children. I just wish that we didn't have to be scared.

A Little Black Marker -- It's Magic! - Blog Entry

That black marker trick is a great idea! On the other hand, I don't read many books that have "those paragraphs" in them. I mostly read horror novels, so I should probably keep those locked up on a shelf in the top of my closet, huh?
