As far as the containers go, my parents always reused plastic containers from cream cheese, ice cream, or even Chinese take-out. We also used old cloth diapers to clean our house. They smell sweet, are one of the few flowers I'm NOT allergic to, and they are inexpensive -- even from a florist.
