I lost 62 pounds over the past year and while I look and feel so much better, I still have some toning/losing in the midsection. I use Callanetics, which is a type of low impact exercise developed by a lady. Some of the exercises are GREAT for the tummy area, without being difficult or stressful. I had a dear friend that also adopted a baby diagnosed with FAS. She too suffered greatly but much of the damage wasn't seen until she was older. Hey - most people enjoy a beer, cocktail, or glass of wine from time to time, me included but the responsibility of carrying a child and then delivering a healthy baby is HUGE. We as mothers need to take heed to the various dangers around unborn children, doing everything possible to ensure health and safety. I guess for me, if that means cutting out a drink or two, the child's welfare is by far the most important consideration. Again, I greatly appreciate the comments!!!!
