Denise Richards Leaves DWTS While The Woz Dances On - Blog Entry

29 Mar 2009 08:02 AM

I've recorded them and now just need to find time to watch them. I wish though they would cut DWTS to once a year and put SYTYCD on twice a year.

I think him and Benji have been my favorite SYTYCD contestants. The only reason I'm watching DWTS (never watched before) is because of all the SYTYCD people (Dmitry, Chelsea and Lacy - not to mention in the big dance # I saw one of the girls from last season but can't remember her name).

Parents Who Approve of Wax Jobs for 8-Year-Olds - Blog Entry

When I read the title to this article I was sure it would be talking about that stupid show I've only seen commercials for (and only because it was during another show I watch on TLC) - Toddlers and Tiara's. I was sure it was one of those 'stage mom's' who would put their child through that. I agree that if a child is hairy you can cover it up at that age - even if they had to wear a swimsuit at school the parent could work out something with the gym teacher. Or at the most the child can learn to shave. I couldn't imagine having to go to a stranger at 8 years old and having something like that done - it would have been very embarrassing.

I missed this week and can't believe that Steve is still in it. And the only reason Holly probably made it is her partner, hottie Dmitry. I've never seen someone dance as stiff as Holly (pardon the pun).

Do You Punish Your Kids for Bad Grades? - Blog Entry

13 Feb 2009 12:00 PM

Each person/child is unique, so while it may or may not work on him doesn't mean it would or wouldn't work for others. I agree with Samual, they should never say he is an embarrasement, maybe they should have said his behavior is an embarassement instead. I think (IMO) they went over the top in punishment. We do punish for bad grades, but it's things like taking away XBox previleges, more chores or less time with friends. Sounds like the whole family needs assistance.

A Wedding Ring for Your Man? - Blog Entry

06 Jan 2009 09:43 AM

Neither DH or I wear ours all the time. With the type of work DH does he's busted 2 rings so far, and one slipped off snorkeling. So for work and swimming he doesn't wear his. In fact I think both of us mostly just wear our when we go out. We know we're commited and that's what matters to us. Our first rings matched, but with the way he works it didn't even last a year. So we got a new matching set and again his was broken within a year. So I kept mine and we got him a titanium one, which probably never would have broke and some lucky fish is probably looking at today off the coast of Oahu. His new one is also titanium and so does not match mine, but he picked it out and likes it and that's what matters.

The Eight Biggest Laundry Mistakes - Blog Entry

06 Jan 2009 09:36 AM

Have you guys been watching my DH do his laundry? He's notorious for all of them - not seperating, washing $ (once $200 I found in the dryer), not checking the pockets (yep, tissues have made a mess here also). He is now not allowed to touch anyone else's clothes but his own. At least he always washes in cold water and is great at everything else (well almost, getting the dishes fully clean still gives him trouble, which is why I try to do them all myself).

Would You Know If a Man Were Living in Your Attic? - Blog Entry

31 Dec 2008 06:31 AM

There was another news story not too long ago about a man who didn't know a woman was living in one of his closets. If I remember correctly she lived up on a shelf and even had dragged in bedding. She'd come out during the day, while he was at work, to eat. Finally he noticed too much food seemed to be missing.

So creepy! I hope we'd notice. We have 2 indoor dogs so I'd hope they for sure would notice.

What Do You Do With Pictures of Other People's Kids? - Blog Entry

13 Dec 2008 02:23 PM

I keep the cards we receive each holiday season in a box for use next year (I then will pull them out to make our holiday card list from). The pictures we get our of kids/families we are close with, so I save them. Some will go into scrapbooks in the holiday sections, others will just get filed with other photos and a few rare ones will get put into a multi-picture frame.
