Because isn't that what we really want - for our children to be good people? Somehow just telling them over and over to be kind to others doesn't cut it, we have to show them (over and over and over again...). I used to get so incredibly angry about that but as my (very patient and understanding) husband would explain, they are just trying to do what they think is best. So now I (try) to just smile and thank them for their concern. And then quickly run away! |
