Summer Sailing Sale

Princess_in_2010If sailing off into a stunning summer sunset without sinking your entire vacation budget seems too good to be true, think again.

For a limited time, Princess Cruises is offering a summer clearance sale on voyages to Alaska and Europe.  The promotion features savings of up to 50% off rack rates on more than 200 summer sailings.  It also includes on-board credits of $25 to $100 depending on the type of accommodations you book.  For example, if you book an interior or ocean-view cabin on sailings of up to nine days, you will receive $25 in credit. However, if you pay for a balcony cabin or suites on sailings of up to nine days, you will receive a $50 credit.  You can double your credit if you set sail on a cruise lasting 10 days or longer.

Some sample itineraries featured as part of the sale include:

  • 7-night Gulf of Alaska cruises from $399 per person for an inside cabin; balcony cabins start at $799 per person.
  • 12-night Greek Isles cruises from $799 per person for an inside cabin; balcony cabins start at $1,299 per person.
  • 11-night Scandinavia and Russia cruises from $999 per person for an inside cabin; balcony cabins start at $1,999 per person.

If you are interested in taking advantage of the sale, you have until 11:59 p.m. PST on May 8th to book.  Also, keep in mind that the promotion is only available to residents of the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Mexico.

For those looking to save on a Royal Caribbean cruise this summer, you may consider signing up for the company’s “all-you-can-drink” alcohol package.  The deal is good on Royal Caribbean’s entire 22-ship fleet and includes two choices:

Classic Beverage Package:  Includes beer, house wine by the glass, non-alcoholic cocktails, fountain sodas, and juices for $45 per person per day.

Premium Beverage Package:  Includes everything covered in the Classic Package, plus all alcoholic cocktails and frozen drinks for $55 per person per day.

Both packages include gratuities and are available to passengers 21 years and older on trips of seven nights or longer.
