Let's Talk About Celebrity Births - Blog Entry

I think celebritites have a certain way that they are expected to act. She DOES have a party streak in her, naturally. But she is a great mother and I've heard this from many sources (and now you!)

The Let's Talk Blog Top Ten - Reasons for a Homebirth - Blog Entry

You can always consult with a homebirth midwife while also being under the care of a physician. If problems arise throughout your pregnancy to signal a complication, you will already have backup care ready for you at the hospital. I'm sorry to hear you missed out on a homebirth - is there a way that the bleeding disorder can be treated and kept under control? If not, most midwives would risk you out of a homebirth, BUT it would still be beneficial to a pregnant woman to have midwifery prenatal care. See my blogs about Interveiwing Midwives for more info!

I plan on using my teeny candy canes to decorate a styrofoam cone to look like a candy tree. Then I will spray varnish it so that it's not sticky and use it for decorating during the holidays!

To Circumcise or Not? - Blog Entry

I've actually never seen valid evidence that a circumcised penis is "cleaner". I also have never seen evidence that there are fewer chances for infection. I'm actually not sure that makes sense. Would you care to share where you found this information? Or is this just an example of people's misconceptions or reasons for circumcision? I myself have two girls, but I did make the decision while pregnant not to do the surgery.

Let's Talk About Early Prenatal Testing - Blog Entry

11 Dec 2006 09:18 PM

"After my first two experiences I refused the test and ended up going to a different provider to get my way!"

Good for you! My first tested on the Down's end of the spectrum. I declined further testing after I read more about the false positives. She is also recognized as have a high IQ. That is uncanny if you ask me! Perhaps something else is triggering such a positive in the test? I wonder if that's something worth looking into. . .

For my second, I had absolutely no prenatal testing done except the ones I mentioned in my "less-invasive" paragraph.
