There's Laughter In Your Breastmilk - Blog Entry

How interesting - it is known that stress contributes to skin breakouts, including those of excema and psoriasis so it only makes sense that laughter would help! :D

Why You Won't Catch Me at a Nurse-In - Blog Entry

It's funny you mention WIC supporting breastfeeding, because I've often daydreamed of the day when they stop giving out free formula and start giving out free lactation consultants instead ;)

Why You Won't Catch Me at a Nurse-In - Blog Entry

About making national laws - I think that every state should support breastfeeding in public andI hope one day they all do. BUT - our country is founded on the Constitional rights of local government. The more local our legislation stays, the better, and state law is supposed to override national law, even though it often doesn't. So I don't think we should start taking rights to make (or not make) their own laws away from states. But I do hope all states step up to the plate on this one, since it's a basic human right to feed an infant ANYWHERE.

What Will It Take? A Challenge for Experienced Moms - Blog Entry

Maybe not "supermom", but I like to think that writers like those at Families.com do a lot of good in spreading support and knowledge to those who seek it ;D The mom who hung herself and her kids particularly strikes a chord with me since she was a teen mom as was I. I try to dedicate a lot of my time to reaching out to new moms, and wil take up your challenge as well!

Babies Have Astounding Capabilities - Blog Entry

Good question ("Do we as adults cause them to lose their gifts?") - I'm not sure ALL babies are born "gifted" in the sense that we usually use the word, but I do think that babies are often given less credit than they are due. I don't think we know any better though. When I had my first, I wouldn't have possibly believed that she was capable of "speaking" or understanding language before at least nine months. But now I am more than convinced that my seven month old not only understands what I say to her, but has said a handful of words in sign language as well as English. I see it's possible now after learning more about baby development, as well as allowing my mind to open to the possibility. ;D

Ask a Baby Blogger: Breastfeeding and Bonding - Blog Entry

"The research I have read says that breastfeeding promotes attachment and bonding. That is simply not the same as saying that babies who are bottle fed don't bond with their mothers."

Thanks for making this clarification. It's very important for people to understand that being "pro" one thing doesn't necessarily entail being "anti" the other, etc.

Anti-Obesity Baby Formula? - Blog Entry

More excuses for mothers to use against breastfeeding. Why bother when formula is "just as good" these days? As you said, synthetic ingredients are involved - so it'snot as good as the real thing ;) Thanks for the new info!

Have Mercy on the Twin Moms!!! - Blog Entry

Oh Valerie - I imagine it's twice as hard as having one adorable bundle for strangers to coo at! LOL. Yesterday my friend and I were out with our two babies. Hers is three months younger. TWICE we were asked if they were twins!! UH- what?!! Must have been because we were both wearing them in a meitei carrier, but still, what sillyness.
