Part Two: Interview with Neil Tejwani, Past Contestant on “Biggest Loser”

In part one I talked about the interview I had with season four contestant, Neil Tejwani and the journey he took that led him to the “Biggest Loser.” This blog continues with that interview. Neil shared a great quote from Albert Einstein that I believe can be inspiring for everyone. It is: “Within every difficulty lies an opportunity.” Neil shared that one of the biggest things he learned from being on the “Biggest Loser” was that people can underestimate the power of their strength and determination to accomplish what they purpose to do. If you apply yourself to something and … Continue reading

Part One: Interview with Neil Tejwani, Past Contestant on “Biggest Loser”

Last week I enjoyed a wonderful and inspiring conversation with Neil Tejwani from season four of “Biggest Loser.” I am very excited about sharing his story as I know it will encourage and motivate others. Neil’s journey to the “Biggest Loser” began in his high school years when a freak injury propelled him to begin overeating. By the time he was 19 or 20 years old, he was up to about 400 pounds. A couple of years later, during a routine doctor appointment, he discovered that he had hit 460 pounds. His doctor informed him that he had high blood … Continue reading

I had the pleasure of participating in a conference call yesterday with Pete Thomas who appeared on season two of the “Biggest Loser.” Pete Thomas is part of the Healthy Wage national weight loss competition where teams of 5 can participate in a challenge called Matchup. In this challenge “Biggest Loser” contestants motivate healthy wage members. Pete Thomas lost 83 pounds and lasted 62 days before he was voted off season two of the “Biggest Loser.” Since then he has lost a total of 185 pounds. But even more exciting is that he has kept the weight off. Keeping the … Continue reading

Britney and Alison Score

Finally, it’s good news for popwreck Britney Spears. The malfunctioning mother of two young sons may be on the right track after all… at least that’s how a judge sees it. The singer was just awarded overnight privileges with her sons, Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1 by a judge assigned to her custody case. The decision was announced a few hours ago and already rumors are spreading that Spears might regain all of her custody rights (the ones that were completely stripped from her following her mass meltdown in January) by the end of the summer. Sources connected to the … Continue reading

Did Biggest Loser Go Too Far?

If you watched Biggest Loser this past season, it was a special series – couples! There was a mother/daughter couple, a father/daughter couple, best friends, married couples, and even divorced couple. The divorced couple – Kelly Fields and Paul Marks – came in weighing quite a bit. Kelly weighed in at 271 – the heaviest female on this season. Paul wasn’t the heaviest male, but at 310 and only 5’ 4”, he was certainly at risk. His father and grandfather, both overweight, died before the age of 50. Already 43, Paul was looking to break that cycle. Although he and … Continue reading

The Biggest Loser—Big numbers…again

Again I watched The Biggest Loser, and again I could not believe the numbers that came out with the weigh-in. Before I get to that though– it was an action-packed night for The Biggest Loser contestants. First, Erik got reamed by Trainer Bob (who couldn’t see THAT coming?) when he voted off his Blue Team member Marty. I can only imagine how Erik felt, given the fact that Bob’s tears even left ME misty-eyed. But like Erik said, a game is a game. What he may not have thought out though, was that, by voting out Marty, he was now … Continue reading

The Biggest Loser—They’re Baaaaaaack!

Last night was tense on The Biggest Loser. Two new contestants were introduced to the “game.” Actually, they weren’t “new” per say; they were part of the original 50 contestants who appeared in Episode One. When they (Adrian and Jaron) walked in the room, you could feel the tension rising. Understandably, the contestants who’d been at the ranch the entire time were peeved that people who hadn’t been going through all that they had, could come to the game at this point. Imagine their surprise when they realized that Adrian and Jaron had lost more weight than they had—from home. … Continue reading
