Who is Jesus?

Many people want to insist Jesus was a good man or a prophet. This is not what the bible teaches. The bible teaches: Jesus is ‘the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God,’ John 1:1. Or as Colossians says ‘He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation,’ Colossians 1:15. ‘No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father’s side has made him known,’ John 1:18. Why We Don’t Need Signs and Wonders

Why don’t we need signs and wonders to prove where we stand with God? Won’t they make us more spiritual or a better class of Christian? No. Because God has given us all we need for the Christian life Colossians tells us. What has he given us exactly? The Church In Danger

Today the church is in danger of absorbing the ideas and values of the world, rather than the ideas and values of God as taught in the bible. We would do well to take note of the book of Colossians, which is written to a church in danger. The Colossian church was in danger from deception and false teaching, Colossian 2:8 and from criticism, Colossians 2:16-18.
