Star Jones Reynolds Returns To TV

She took a hike when she learned that she was getting the boot, and now Star Jones Reynolds says she’s ready to make her big comeback. You’ll remember last June Reynolds made her now infamous exit from daytime’s chat fest, “The View” in true diva-like fashion. (To recap: Last spring, the 44-year-old co-host was told her contract was not going to be renewed, but she beat producers to the punch by announcing she was quitting. The move angered show creator Barbara Walters, and Reynolds was banned from the program.) Now Reynolds is returning to TV as host of her own … Continue reading

“The View” News: Rosie’s Apology and Star’s New Gig

Is it too little too late? Rosie O’Donnell used ABC’s “The View” as a venue to make a formal, on-camera apology and directly address the issue of her now-infamous attempt at “humor” by imitating a Chinese person. O’ Donnell replayed the offending segment, which originally ran December 5th, then issued this statement: “This apparently was very offensive to a lot of Asian people. When I was a kid people did tease me by … Continue reading

Then, less than 24 hours later show creator, Barbara Walters told a live audience that she felt betrayed by Jones-Reynolds comments and as a result, the co-host of nine years would no longer be appearing on the “The View” effective immediately. Now, word comes that Jones-Reynolds’s seat (which barely had time to get cold) … Continue reading

Maybe it’s just me, but every time I tune into ABC’s “The View” another co-host is announcing that she will be departing the show to “start another chapter of her life.” Today, it was Star Jones Reynolds’ turn. Jones Reynolds announced Tuesday morning that she will be leaving the show in July, after nine years as a co-host. “Something’s been on my heart for a little bit, and after much prayer and counsel I feel like this is the right time to tell you that the show is moving in another direction for its tenth season and I will not … Continue reading
