Arrest Made (Finally) in Hudson Family Murders

More than a month after police discovered the slain bodies of Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew in Chicago, the Oscar-winner’s estranged brother-in-law has been arrested for the murders. According to Chicago newspapers, Balfour has not been formally charged in the slayings (prosecutors say that could come in the next day or so), but he has been transferred from an Illinois state prison–where he has been held on suspicion of a parole violation–back into police custody. New Details in the Jennifer Hudson Case

As the country still mourns for Jennifer Hudson’s loss, there are new findings in the case. Wednesday, police found a handgun they think was involved in the slayings. The handgun, which was in a box, was found in an alley about a block away from where the police found the white SUV that contained the body of Hudson’s nephew, Julian. Body Found IS Jennifer Hudson’s Nephew

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that the body of the boy found in an SUV earlier today is in fact that of 7-year-old Julian King. Reports also say that Jennifer Hudson was the one who went to the Medical Examiner’s office to identify the boy’s remains less than an hour ago.
