There are almost as many stories and theories about glassware as there are glasses. Some say buy over-sized wine glasses for everything, even cold soups and desserts. Purists, however, contend that each type of beverage requires a specific type of glass. Legend and folklore have their place in the history of glassware as well. The China Cabinet vs. The Sideboard: Who Wins?

There may be those of you out there in blog-land too young to know the difference between a china closet and a sideboard. If you are, I am jealous because I am old enough and not exactly proud of my status.
