Destination Weddings: Do or Don’t?

Writing about Disney Cruise Weddings/Vow Ceremonies made me think about destination weddings.  Given that I wanted my wedding to be as small and simple as possible, it’s difficult for me to relate to those interested in having a destination wedding. Destination weddings don’t come cheap—-for the bride and groom or their guests. I got married in Hawaii—-one of the most popular spots for destination weddings–only it wasn’t considered a destination wedding since I was born and raised in the Aloha State. Marriage Laws – Georgia & Florida

Rounding off our journey down the East coast, we come to the states of Georgia and Florida. Vermont: Destination Wedding Capital Of The World?

Well, not quite. But, state officials would love to lay stake to that claim—so much so that they devised a very unique contest to draw attention to the tiny state. Engaged couples had the chance to win a “free” wedding valued at more than $40,000 by submitting an online essay detailing their perfect Vermont wedding. The prizes were provided by local merchants.
