When Do You Decorate for the Holidays?

This morning, as we were sitting down for a leisurely breakfast, I glanced through the dining room at the picture window in the living room. I beheld a very strange site. There were our fall decorations: a jolly scarecrow, a basket of small pumpkins, a thick wire pumpkin candle holder, a cloth in a soft fall burgundy and more. Decorating for Valentine’s Day

Even though it seems as if you finally just got all the Christmas decorations organized and put away, it might be time to pull some of them back out… I was given a heart shaped glass dish for Christmas. It looked nice filled with tiny, shiny ornaments, but it will also be pretty when filled with heart shaped candies for Valentine’s Day. That red tablecloth, red doilies, gold placemats, and metallic stars can all add to your Valentine’s Day decorating. Metallic items look great with red. Okay, the kids will be off school for Christmas vacation soon if they aren’t already. As we look forward to school or church parties and pageants, remember that once those events are over, children tend to get antsy. It’s hard not to do so with Christmas only a week away! Who says you can’t have your cake (or cookies, candy, etc.) and eat it too? Edible Christmas Wreaths Here are some cute, easy, and tasty ideas for making a Christmas wreaths and decorations. These can also act as centerpieces and your kids will love helping you put these together (and helping you “clean up” the wreaths).
