Simple Summer Crafts

Simple crafts are the perfect remedy for cabin fever.  This summer, the following easy and affordable projects have been lifesavers when it’s been too hot or too wet for my 8-year-old to run amok outside.  An added bonus:  these kid-friendly activities require very little adult assistance.  This makes them ideal to include at a variety of summer events such as family reunions, church picnics or birthday parties. Snow Day Fun With Stained Glass JELL-O

There are snowy days, and then there are SNOWY days. The latter is what we’re dealing with today. Many portions of my state are incapacitated due to the Blizzard of 2009. Sixteen inches of snow, hurricane force winds, mass power outages and bitterly cold temperatures, forced the governor of Wisconsin to declare a State of Emergency for all 72 counties. Photo Fun with Kids

My daughter is amazingly crafty for someone whose mother has trouble sewing the buttons back on shirts. That’s why when it comes to tackling arts and crafts projects I tend to stick with ones that include as few steps as possible. For the past five months my daughter and I have been working on various photo projects for my grandmother.
