Having your kids home from school on Presidents’ Day may not sound like a ton of fun for busy parents, but with a few holiday-themed projects to keep them busy, the third Monday in February can be an exciting time. Patriotic Paraphernalia for Pets

In honor of President’s Day, and because this is an election year, I thought today would be the primo day to talk about some of the patriotic pet paraphernalia I’ve seen around lately. “Patriotic paraphernalia? “Presidents Day” Sales are a Misnomer

You all do know that there’s not really a Presidents Day holiday, don’t you? What most people are celebrating is Washington’s Birthday. Washington was born on February 22nd. He’s a hero, and not just because we live in Washington state. He is one that is truly worthy of a day of honor. Not every president (especially some in recent history!) is due such recognition. In 1968, Congress moved Washington’s birthday celebration to the third Monday in February, regardless of the date that it fell on.
