Glassware: Whatever Does It Mean?

There are almost as many stories and theories about glassware as there are glasses. Some say buy over-sized wine glasses for everything, even cold soups and desserts. Purists, however, contend that each type of beverage requires a specific type of glass. Legend and folklore have their place in the history of glassware as well. New Uses for Bar Glasses

Even if you do not drink, or don’t drink very often, you can get some use out of your bar glasses and other bar items. They make great accessories and serving pieces. Most are elegantly styled and lend an air of sophistication to your table. Maybe you don’t do martinis. Instead of re-gifting that martini set, use the glasses for serving other items. Collections

What do you collect if anything? I love cookie jars. If I had more space, I’d collect them. There are so many styles and I really love the ones that look like cute little characters. I probably wouldn’t even put cookies in them, since I never store cookies in the ceramic one I have. It is more of a catchall and usually contains spools of thread, safety pins, odd buttons, and change. It’s kind of a tan color with a pear painted on the side.
