Hi! Right now I’m working with SAMHSA on a campaign to help promote underage drinking prevention. I know most of your children are younger, but it’s important to start talking to them early about the dangers of underage drinking. The website for the campaign has some great tips to help you get the discussion started (sometimes it can be a hard topic to bring up!).

Have you thought about how you’re going to bring this topic up/what your stance is on the issue?

Great site and such an important topic to tackle. My kids are a little older and I was very naive in the area of underage drinking. Kids can be exposed to both alcohol and drugs at a younger age than I ever thought. My son was exposed his first year in the middle school and I was blown away when I found out. In hindsight, I would’ve been much more proactive on the subject. Don’t let that happen to you, take action while you can.
