I agree, Kori. Manipulation and control is not the key to all of this.

Perceptions of Homeschooling: When others think you are doing a bad job - Blog Entry

You're doing a great job. :) Whatever the criticism outside of that---you should disregard them all. I guess the best thing to do is love what you're doing and all goes well. It's not your job to please these people anyway. :D

Some people find that affirmations and self-encouragement helps. -- This is true. It works best for me. I am not a single parent, but I am faced with things everyday that does not please me. It's hard but then I always find my inner joy and bounce back.

I agree. I am also afraid that reading these kind of stories might depress me. What draws inspiration from this book is that wherever you may be---you can and you will survive and reach your dreams.

Antiquing With Kids - Blog Entry

24 Jun 2008 06:43 PM

I think that's a great idea, Lauri. Haven't seen any antique rummage sale here yet. But give the opportunity, I will definitely go there! :D We have lots of old toys since we were kids here. It's still in a lil bit good condition and I say, the materials that they use back in the 80's has really undergone through "quality control" process?

This sounds fun. :D Thanks for sharing.

Week in Review - Fun - Blog Entry

I miss sidewalk chalk games, but we call it games on the road back in the 80s and 90s. I love how games are so much simple and fun before. :) Thanks for reminding me of this.
