Watch Out for Dirty Pagers - Blog Entry

17 Jun 2008 01:33 PM

I agree with this. But this also should apply to us too. Pagers and especially cellphones. We tend to touch this and touch our babies. Or let's not let them touch any of these. :)

New Grocery Shopping Techniques - Blog Entry

17 Jun 2008 12:44 PM

Yeah, the prices has gone way up here too. I just wish people here would stop complaining that it's the government's fault. Sigh.

Anyway, I usually shop goods at bulks or large sizes and then I compare it to the small ones. I find this cheaper and practical as I don't have to go back again and again for shopping. For vegetables and fruits, I usually go to the market to buy these. They're much cheaper and fresh compared to the ones in the grocery store. :)

Pressured into Online Social Networking - Blog Entry

17 Jun 2008 12:16 PM

Social networking can be fun in a way that you can meet people who are like-minded like you. I used to be so wary of everyone. Paranoid of who to add and all. But I just reminded myself that it won't happen until I invite it in. The bottomline is, it's the power to choose who you'll add according to your liking!

It's great that your daughters invited you to Facebook. Yes, you get to keep track of their activities and most of all, the fun of it is that they let you in in their worlds. :)

Is it a Home Business or Free Babysitting? - Blog Entry

16 Jun 2008 03:41 PM

Hi Kori, I'm also a WAHM and sometimes it gets so crazy with my kid around. lol. I've been for sometime experimenting on what time I should work. Turns that the best time I start is at 2:00 am when my son is still sleeping. I think I'm gonna stick with this time. Now I just need to take a few naps in the afternoon and sleep earlier in the evening so I can make up for my resting time.

It's good to work without getting interrupted. And I am sure that after my work, I have all the time to do all the things that I desire. :D

Dealing with Parent Cliques at School and Activities - Blog Entry

16 Jun 2008 03:01 PM

Hi Kori, I also noticed that even in PTAs there's also a clique goin' on there. I also would not like to join as I prefer to be individual-minded and I love the freedom of choosing things that is comfortable to me. The idea of getting involved sounds fine to me. I'd like to get involved with my child's activity. If other parents do ignore me. It's not my problem, this may sound harsh but I can't live a life of pleasing people just to get their attention. I guess I grew up without having a clique. I have lots of friends but I love the freedom of having too many. :)

They're Crabby, You're Crabby - Blog Entry

16 Jun 2008 11:45 AM

My mom and I seldom talk back to each other, let alone get crabby. It's simply just tiring to retort or fight back to their crankiness. As a teen I would normally just shut up and wait till the heat is over. I think that when you are both angry, it's best to cool your heads off before actually starting a conversation. I never really had a problem with this. It just appalls me to see some families have an ugly fight. Considering that they are family.

What is Salmonellosis? - Blog Entry

13 Jun 2008 03:13 AM

Thanks for the info. There are lots of kids who got food-poisoned here at the start of school. I guess it's better to steer clear of those tomatoes and always listen to advisories on TV or check the net for more details.

How did I get from "I can't Leave my Baby!" to "It's Time for You to Go!"? - Blog Entry

12 Jun 2008 02:37 AM

I'm also wondering about this too. I don't know how to handle a situation when my baby is all grown-up and ready to head out of the door.

*smiles* So this is how parents feel.
