I still have no idea how to start and what to do. Thanks for the tip, Kori. :) -Yvie http://tangerineslullaby.eachday.com Who Takes Up More Time-the Kids or the Pets? - Blog Entry09 Jun 2008 12:56 PM I used to have a cat and he seemed to be too free-spirited for us to always keep our attention on him. I remember he used to disappear every now and then but he always finds his way back. When I got married, I didn't get to bring my cat with me. He's now in the care of my mom who is doing a fantastic job taking care of our furry friends. As of now, I don't think I can handle having a pet cat, my son still needs a lot of attention (just yesterday he was so frustrated because I seem to be a little busy with my work--imagine how he cried so much because of that). Family life's a little crazy sometimes but then, I agree with you. We chose this. And well, we're happy and a little tired. Great entry as always, Kori. -Yvie http://tangerineslullaby.eachday.com Week in Review - Fun - Blog Entry08 Jun 2008 08:37 PM Lauri, I'd like to try soap carving in my free time. I think that's a refreshing break from all of these. I still can't try it out with my boy though. Thanks for sharing this. -Yvie http://tangerineslullaby.eachday.com More Reading in Second and Third Grade - Blog Entry08 Jun 2008 06:27 PM I remember when I was in second grade, I enjoyed reading a lot---well outside of classroom though. I think at this age, teachers should encourage students to read as much as they can---and of course choose the stories that they like to read. Spelling on the other hand is also fun to play with, if this were also turned into a game, students would also have lots of fun engaging in this activity and at the same time, they also learn from that. -Yvie http://tangerineslullaby.eachday.com A Family Art Gallery - Blog Entry07 Jun 2008 11:37 PM Lauri, your kids are so lucky to have you as a mom. :D -Yvie http://tangerineslullaby.eachday.com Marriage Can Challenge You to Improve and Change - Blog Entry07 Jun 2008 01:52 AM This is very true. In marriage you work together as a team. You do not blame one another and you take responsibility in your own actions. A marriage made in heaven is composed of that. -Yvie http://tangerineslullaby.eachday.com Cross-Cultural Communication - Blog Entry05 Jun 2008 05:31 PM This is a great advice for those who are seeking to do business with other cultures. Although our methods works for us, it might be different from the other. I agree that it's best to familiarize yourself the culture that you're going to deal with. -Yvie http://tangerineslullaby.eachday.com First Aid: Sprained Ankle - Blog Entry05 Jun 2008 02:57 PM Wouldn't like this to happen to me. But thanks for the tip! I'll be needing this should this happen. -Yvie http://tangerineslullaby.eachday.com Film Cameras Fading Away - Blog Entry05 Jun 2008 02:14 PM Digital cameras come in handy. But nothing beats the flavor and appeal of film photography. I still use film from time to time. I have a Canon EOS 88 (EOS 3000), which I used when I was in College. It's still with me and I didn't even bother selling it to anyone. I'm torn between purchasing a high-end digital SLR, but I still want to pursue photography that involves using film. I still want to try both and I have no plans of discarding my old SLR. -Yvie http://tangerineslullaby.eachday.com Couple Remarries after 58 Years - Blog Entry04 Jun 2008 08:51 PM Interesting. I googled Jan Morris. She has lived an extraordinary life and it's astonishing that they have decided to remarry. I think this is really a decision between couples. Are they going to marry because they have to? Do they have to stay for the sake of the kids? Or are they better off each other. I think marriage does not only defines love but also trust and friendship that has grown all over the years. Do you treat your mate as a friend or just your "wife" or "husband". I think it's more than that. -Yvie http://tangerineslullaby.eachday.com |
