Before her daughter was born, she decided to be guided by the needs of her child, and this led her to attachment parenting philosophies. She loves to write about safe and natural children's products, getting children (yes, even babies!) outside, and baby wearing. She is also addicted to baby names and their meanings. Tricia is from Vancouver, Canada. She's been published in local parenting magazines like Urban Baby and Toddler and West Coast Families. She's also published in magazines like Green Teacher that focus on getting children outside, enjoying themselves in nature. She is passionate about connecting urban families to natural places and does so through her job as an environmental educator. At the moment, Tricia also coordinates a sustainable skills mentorship program for families in her community, helping people share and build their skills in gardening, home crafts, repair, and preserving. She pursues her gardening interests in her own small garden in North Vancouver and also through her garden writing at Suite 101.
