Bio

I'm a stay at home mom with 2 great kids. Ana is 3 and Joel is almost 2. We have a ton of fun and I'm always looking for frugal ways to make it easier for our family of 4 to live on one income. I have recently become increasingly more interested in homemade gifts and crafts and I love to make toys from fabric because they are thoughtful, frugal, environmentally kind, and safe from the fears of lead and toxic plastics. I love when frugality and conservation come together (which is often) because I am really looking to simplify my life and be conscious of my environment. I admire the generation that survived the great depression of the 30's because they came through the struggle of that era with a great deal of character in terms of frugality and ingenuity. I would like to have more of those qualities myself. In a world that keeps getting more and more consumed with consumerism, I would like to step back and think about bringing my world down to a reasonable size.
