Returning to work once kids are teens - Blog Entry

Andrea,

I have 4 children, 2 of them being teens. I feel the same way about teenagers. I often feel guilty for not having a full time job since my youngest is now 10 and my oldest is 15. I also get comments from former co-workers that my kids are old enough and that I should go back to work. I feel if there should be a stay at home parent, they should be home during the teen years. High school in Las Vegas gets out at 1:15. That's way too early in the day and it gives the kids so much more time to get into trouble if their parents work a regular 9-5 job. I'm grateful to be a real estate agent where I can work around my children. Although, having 4 makes it very hard to work. It's very comforting to see that others feel the same way as I do and I'm happy with my decision to work a more flexible job. Thank you for your blog!
