Child Separation Anxiety

It has been 6 weeks and one day, 5 hours and 30 minutes since my kids left for Idaho to see their Dad.  They come home in approximately 4 days, 19 hours.  The first few days were rough, then I was used to it a little and could get some work done.  Now I'm just dragging, missing them and not getting ANY work done!  I could be accomplishing soooo much, but I'm not.

Why is that?

Hang in there Tina Marie!! Wow! Six weeks seems like a long time to be gone. Do you have them for the rest of the year? Are they gone that long each year? How did you manage last year? I wish I could suggest something that would make the time go faster for you, but the only thing that makes time fly for me is work. Maybe you could cook some meals now and freeze them (cooking may help pass the time) and that way you have more time to spend with your kids when they get back and not have to worry about stopping to prepare meals. I don't know the details of your situation but is there anyway you could shorten their visits???
