It is important to mark your calendars for the next session of General Conference. The Young Women’s meeting will be March 29, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. MDT. The general sessions will be Saturday April 5, 2008 and Sunday April 6, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. MDT. The Priesthood session will be on Saturday April 5, 2008 at 6:00 pm.m MDT. You can watch the general sessions at home through your cable or satellite provider on BYUTV. If you do not have cable or satellite you can listen to it online through the church’s website or watch it at BYUTV’s website. Additionally you can go to your local chapel to watch conference.
Conference is a wonderful opportunity to listen to the counsel of the prophet. Additionally it will be the first time that we have a sustaining vote for President Thomas S Monson and hear him speak as a prophet. This is a wonderful opportunity to talk to your children about this and help them realize who he is.
If you were unable to attend President Hinckley’s funeral you can read or listen to the archives at the Church’s website. There was also a special supplement that came with the Ensign this month. If you were unable to attend the Worldwide training meeting in February you can read the archives online as well. This was a wonderful meeting about strengthening families.
As you prepare yourself for the upcoming session, remember to pray. If I have specific questions or concerns in my life, I will write them down. There is always at least one talk that addresses each question. It is wonderful that the talks can reach out to so many people and benefit everyone who listens. I look forward to hearing the counsel of President Monson and learning who the new apostle will be.
