Portable iPod Speakers

I have done a lot of traveling in recent months for work. One thing that always seems to be absent in every hotel room is a CD player. For some reason it never occurred to me before that most hotel rooms don’t come with any sort of music playing device inside them. Music, more and more has become a huge part of my life, so these past few trips the absence of a CD player has becomes rather obvious.

I have an iPod, so I have been listening to it late at night with ear phones in often dreaming of the good old days back home where I have a stereo and a sea of CDs to choose from for my evening music listening.

Recently when I made a trip to an electronics store near my home I found that they now have a good deal of portable speaker systems designed for iPod that can create almost as much sound as my entire home stereo.

The speaker systems are plugged into my iPod just like I would plug in a set of ear phones and then small speakers play out my musical selections. If you travel a lot, and own an iPod, then a good set of small travel speakers can make your trips much more enjoyable.

Another great use for small iPod speakers I listening to music, or audio books in your kitchen while you cook dinner or outside while your children play of you garden. Portable speakers are small, light, and can go literally anywhere you and your iPod go. I purchased a small set of speakers and have started setting my iPod up in places where I can not hear my regular stereo as well, or times when I want to listen to music by myself, but without headphones.

There are a variety of different portable speaker options on the market. You can purchase portable speakers for your iPod (or even your CD player) at most electronics stores. Here are some links to a few of my favorites on Amazon.com:
