Convenient, Tasty, and Fits into Your Diet

I have something exciting to share with you! I am always looking for quick and convenient ways to eat and stay on my diet track. I know many convenience foods are not superior in health. So I am not recommending these options as especially healthy or unhealthy but as diet food on the run or when you are just in the mood for convenience. I will admit I am a sucker for convenience. Yes, when I am hungry and not in the mood to throw together a salad or cook I tend to cheat. I know that’s pathetic but that’s truth.

So, in my search to find convenience items I found three things I’d like to share. To be clear, I am not being compensated for giving this little bit of advertising.

Progresso Soup: Since its winter, soup is a great comfort food as it warms the body and the soul. As much as I enjoy making my own soup, there are times when the craving for soup comes but there is not time to prepare it especially if I decide I want it midday or for a snack. While visiting the soup aisle in the grocery store I noticed something that warmed my heart. Progresso Soup now has low calorie options with Weight Watcher points on the can! I realize canned soup has quite a bit of sodium but there are low sodium and low calorie options. I found many tasty soups with 1, 2 and even zero points. Now, keep in mind that is per serving and each can contains 2 servings.

Skinny Cow Low Fat Cups: Skinny Cow has many fantastic products. The low fat ice cream cups are not new, so forgive me if this is old news to you. I normally do not purchase ice cream unless it’s for my husband or the kids. If I indulge, I am doing just that…indulging. Due to a coupon for Skinny Cow Low Fat Cups, I found I can have my ice cream and eat it too. You will also find Weight Watchers points on the container. The ice cream is very good. My favorite is Caramel Cone. There are five flavors and all are 150 calories except the Caramel Cone which is 170.

Yoplait Yogurt and Yoplait Parfait Yogurt: Yoplait offers so many wonderful flavors these days like Red Velvet Cake, Boston Cream Pie and Key Lime Pie. The parfait comes in wonderful flavors as well and contains only 100 calories. I have honestly found that I can eat one of these to satisfy a sweet tooth.

These are my favorite options right now, what do you recommend?
