On Monday, September 12, 2011, CNN hosted what is being called a “Tea Party debate”. Sex Education is a Heated Topic for Romney and Obama

I for one do not follow the politicians or political news. My husband remains much more interested in campaigns and elections than I do. However, the battle over sex education between Romney and Obama has enticed me to take on a more active political role. Senator Obama has suggested that all grade school children (beginning in kindergarten) be instructed through a science-based sex education program. He suggests that each grade have an age appropriate sex education program. Koshik the Talking Elephant

Could our next best friend be an elephant?  Maybe not for most of us here stateside, where we’re not exactly equipped to properly look after pachyderms.  But the news out of a zoo in South Korea, reported by BBC News, shows that an elephant has entered the next stage of the human-animal bond: talking. House Of Representatives Passes Bill Repealing Health Care Laws

After much debate, the House of Representatives has voted to repeal the health care law. The next step will be for the Senate to have a vote about whether or not to repeal the health care law. If it passes in the Senate, the next step is for the President of the United States to sign it. In other words, today’s vote might be considered a first step by some, but is not a final decision. According to most reports, we live near a great school. My daughter may eventually attend that school, but I’m hoping to avoid it for a while.
