The last person I’d want to see in the delivery room, as I was pushing another human being from my loins, is my young daughter.
Personally, I don’t see the need to invite a 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11, 12 or 13-year-old kid to witness me screaming, sweating and groaning while another little human was being extracted from my nether regions.

The very, very pregnant songstress is about to pop with her third child and when she does, she wants her two other children-—daughters Phoenix, 12, and Angel, 4–to watch it all go down… or out, as the case may be.
The 36-year-old Brit recently told Hello! magazine: “Phoenix and Angel will be there with me during my labor, which is just as well as Stephen will be a complete nightmare. He’ll probably pass out and require medical attention.”
Stephen is Stephen Belafonte, Mel B.’s husband and father of her unborn child. According to the star, she expects her daughters to be more help than her husband in the delivery room because he has a weak stomach.
Be that as it may, I still don’t see how a 4-year-old is going to offer much moral support for her mother during delivery. I am quite familiar with 4 year olds and if Mel B.’s Angel is anything like my little angel, she’ll probably be fielding a litany of questions at the most inopportune times.
Granted, the idea of having children witness a live birth is not that radical, especially since generations ago, babies were born at home for the entire family to witness. But, I’m still not ready to fully embrace communal childbirth with little kids in the crowd.
