Dirt Cake
Kid favorite for birthday parties.
INGREDIENTS:
1 count flower pot
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 count garden trowel
1 cup confectioner’s sugar
1 bag gummy worms
1 tsp vanilla
1 bunch plastic flowers
2 boxes instant choc-fudge pudding(4oz)
16 oz oreo cookies
3 cup milk
1/2 cup butter, softened
12 oz whipped topping,1 tub thawed
DIRECTIONS:
1. Crush the cookies until they resemble potting soil. Set aside.
2. Cream the butter or margarine, cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until smooth and fluffy. Set aside.
3. Combine the pudding mix and milk until well blended. Then fold in the whipped topping.
4. Gently fold the cream cheese and pudding mixtures together.
5. To put the “cake” together, layer one-third of the cookie crumbs followed by 1/2 of the pudding mixture, 1/3 of the crumbs, the rest of the pudding mixture and topping with the balance of the crumbs.
6. Refrigerate 10-12 hours before serving. Remove from refrigerator, decorate with flowers.
7. Serve by digging out portions with the trowel.
