Honor Dad With a Day of Fun

Many different places are honoring Dad by offering him a free admission. If you don’t see Dad’s favorite place listed, call them and ask if they are offering any specials.

Several gardens and parks, in Florida, are offering free admission to Dad. Leu Gardens in Orlando, Florida is offering Dad a free admission to the gardens. Butterfly World, in Coconut Creek, Florida is offering free admission to any man who announces he is a father on June 14th and 15th. The Naples Zoo, in Naples, FL is offering Dads and Grandfathers free admission with a child’s ticket to the zoo June 13-16. They are asking each family to donate old aftershave, cologne or perfume to the zoo for animals to enjoy all year.

Bonnie Brae Elk Farm, in Wellington, Ohio, is offering free admission to the park. The bull heard will be gathered in one pasture. Wagon rides will be available to take out to the pasture.

Erie Canal Village, in Rome, New York, is giving Dads free admission when they are accompanied by a child. Dads will also receive a free glass of root beer at Bennett’s Tavern and a free souvenir on June 14 and 15th.

Rapids Water Park, in West Palm Beach, Florida, is offering free admission to Dads on June 14 and 15th with the purchase of a child’s admission. They are also giving out 2 for 1 coupons that can be used during the rest of the 2008 season.

If trains are Dad’s thing, he will love the Conway Scenic Railroad, located in North Conway, New Hampshire. They are offering a free coach ride with the purchase of a child’s ticket. Dad can upgrade his ticket to a first class ticket, when he is accompanied by an adult. Free appetizers will be offered on the first class parlor car.

Many of the Bass Pro Shops are offering Father’s Day Olympics on June 14th or 15th. Dads and kids get to compete in many different events like scavenger hunts, antler toss, archery, and knot tying. Each store is holding different events, so call before you make plans.

Father’s Day is a great time for families to spend quality time together and reconnect. Whether you try one of these ideas or find a special one of your own, have fun. That’s what it’s all about.
