If you would like to be up to your eyeballs in free ebooks, then you’ll want to check out Project Gutenberg. Named for the first printed book, this site has thousands of free ebooks available. While I love paper books so much that I still won’t even consider an e-reader, I have to admit that I really like taking advantage of the Project Gutenberg website. Unfaithful Pets

Once upon a blog, Aimee wrote about pets who prefer people other than their owners. I got to thinking about this yesterday when I was writing about my friends who have been adopted by cats lately. In both instances, the cats technically belong to other people. But they’ve adopted new ones, which technically makes them unfaithful pets. Or does it? Shakespeare in Love

The film Shakespeare in Love is one of my favorites. Not just because it features Judi Dench. Not just because it tells the story of William Shakespeare and his love affair with a beautiful woman who is destined to be the bride of another. Not just because the tragedy of love is so highlighted within the plot of the movie and the plot of the plays that Shakespeare writes. But because the topic, love, is so readily and brazenly addressed, it is at different times in the movie equally exalted, mocked, embraced, disparaged, applauded and ultimately left unsatisfied.
