I really didn’t think I’d have anything Disney-related to post about Valentine’s Day. Ricky Martin Comes Out

Today, Ricky Martin announced what many had suspected for years – he is homosexual. Martin came into the spotlight as a teen when he joined Menudo, a boys band that replaced members when they turned 16, their voice changed, they grew facial hair, or grew too tall – whatever came first. Be careful what you tell Rosie O’Donnell. It’s a lesson Barbara Walters is learning the hard way. Last week, the former “View” co-host joined Roseanne Barr on stage at a local New York City comedy club and sang like a canary divulging some of Walters’s most intimate secrets. Legendary TV Journalist Dies

Ed Bradley, a 25-year veteran of the CBS news magazine “60 Minutes,” has died. In an on-air announcement, “CBS Evening News” anchor Katie Couric said Bradley died yesterday from complications of leukemia. He was 65. It didn’t take long for many of Bradley’s co-workers to publicly speak out about the legendary journalist. His “60 Minutes” colleague, Mike Wallace, said on CBS News Radio that Bradley was “a reporter’s reporter.” While, the creator and former producer of “60 Minutes,” Don Hewitt, said Bradley was a reporter who got along with “people of every stripe.” According to his CBS biography, Bradley was … Continue reading →

Outrage at the Raping Comments of an Islamic Cleric

Opposing secular, spiritual and political groups have today joined together in their outrage against the raping comments of an Australian Islamic cleric.
