Romantic Cruises

What better way to reconnect with your spouse than to take a romantic voyage on the high seas? Cruises are known for being one of the most romantic vacation options. However, there are some cruise lines that are more conducive to love than others.

Here’s a look at three cruise lines that have repeatedly shared the honor of “Most Romantic Odyssey.”

Crystal Cruises

Crystal Cruises’ Crystal Serenity is regarded by cruise experts as one of the most romantic vessels on the water today. The cruise line is known as the best choice for couples that want big-ship features and small-ship luxury. In particular, Crystal Serenity offers the most romantic accommodations. The ship’s penthouse suites all feature balconies, butler service and marble baths with Jacuzzi tubs, and are spacious enough for in-room massages. Another added attraction: Passengers can order off the menu from Crystal Serenity’s fabulous specialty restaurants and dine in privacy of their upscale cabins.

Thomson Cruises

The British Tour operator Thomson is geared toward lovebirds looking for a relatively low-priced traditional cruise experience. The line’s smallest ship, the Calypso, is an adults-only vessel and has also been voted as the company’s most romantic.
The ship caters to fewer than 500 passengers so you are given more attention as you stroll the wooden promenade deck and mingle with other like-minded couples. The ship’s lounge features cabaret, comedians and other entertainment aimed at creating an atmosphere of love.

P&O Cruises

P&O Cruises dominates the all-important couples market with its two adults-only ships — the Artemis and the Arcadia. The latter features upscale restaurants, wedding packages and a top-rated pool on the Lido Deck. And thanks to its Bermuda registry, the captain can marry people at sea. Wedding packages range from a low-key affair to a lavish ceremony complete with a champagne reception in one of the ship’s ultra-luxe restaurants.
