We all have great stories that are often told over and over at family gatherings. So, I thought it would be fun to share favorite Halloween stories here. They can be funny, scary, spooky, strange, or anything you like (keeping in mind PG-ness, since this is a family site).
So, what crazy things have you or your family members done? Let’s hear it!
My story is strange and a little freaky. I remember one year my brother and I actually talked our mom into letting us have a big costume party. We were teenagers, and we couldn’t believe she agreed to let us have a bunch of other teens over. I mean, we had kids over all the time, but never this many at once. We weren’t kidding when we said a big party. Mom agreed as long as we hung out downstairs, no drinking, etc. She helped us decorate and even made snacks. Pretty cool.
So, the night of the party, the music is rockin’ and we’re all having a good time. All of our friends were there and even a few old friends we hadn’t seen in a while showed up. It was great trying to figure out who everybody was beneath their costumes. Some people were really good about keeping their secret until the end of the night. We had a costume contest at the end and after the winner was announced we made everyone unveil themselves. We were really surprised by who some of them were. It was great.
Well, it was great until we got to the last person. He was wearing this really freaky, homemade looking mask and no one could guess who he was all night. When he removed the mask, we still didn’t know! He’d been hanging around all night and not a single person at the party knew who he was! Talk about creepy!
